We offer a 24 hour cancellation period from the time of your online order, anything past this is unable to be cancelled.

In rare cases where an exception to this policy is made, cancellations will be subject to a 20% cancellation fee, based on the total sale price of the items being cancelled.
If we are contatcted within 24 hours of your order placement you will recieve a full refund.

Damages & Issues

Contact our customer service team with photos of the item so we can fix the problem as quickly as possible.

Naco Design will cover any costs incurred.

If an item is damaged in transit we will replace the item but cannot offer a full order cancellation for a refund.

NACO Design is a traditional timber furniture studio with its own factory, dedicated to crafting quality timber furniture for over 30 years. We take pride in our philosophy that goes against fast furniture fashion trends, creating timeless pieces that last. Our team is made up of passionate design professionals striving and growing together.

We are looking for a Product Design Draftsperson to join our team and focus on producing technical fabrication drawings. Your primary tool will be 3D CAD, and your superpower will be translating hand-drawn sketches into precise, fully dimensioned fabrication drawings, ready for production in our factory.

About Us

You will be working across two sites:

  • Design Studio: Located in the lively suburb of Richmond, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shops.
  • Head Office & Factory: Based in Nunawading, within Melbourne’s ‘golden mile’ precinct for furniture and homewares.

Key Responsibilities

While we encourage our team members to engage in a variety of tasks, this role primarily focuses on:

  • Technical Drafting: Translating design sketches into manufacturing-ready fabrication drawings utilising Rhino 3D (approximately 75% of the role).
  • Client Communication: Emailing drawings to clients for review and approval.
  • Additional Responsibilities (25% of the role):
  • Answering customer technical inquiries (email/phone)
  • Operating our in-house laser cutter
  • Model making and prototyping
  • Designing new furniture and improving production systems
  • Rotating into related roles to gain a broad understanding of our operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is someone who envisions a future in product design, fabrication, and furniture manufacturing. You should have:

  • Strong aptitude for visual communication and technical drawing
  • High attention to detail and ability to self-check for errors
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (experience with Rhino 3D with Enscape is a plus)
  • Enjoy working on a computer, while also adapt at rough ideation on paper and physical model-making
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and passion for improving sustainability in the furniture industry
