Inspiration
How do you design a piece of furniture for a dear client with a personality that could fit a mansion, books to challenge a small library, and the design taste of an award winning minimalist architect?
The brief evolved from a dream to entertain and share their culinary gifts. To live in a space that inspires and incorporates local natural materials.
Visualisation
The solution formed into our first 'Super Unit'.
Combining an entertainment unit, bookcase and buffet into a cohesive bespoke joinery design.
Taking advantage of natural light spilling in from both sides of the living room, the overhangs invite light into the bookcase, and avoid blocking views to the outside.
Details
With every cm put to use, on-site measurements left no room for error.
Considerations of datum lines tied together the kitchen with the buffet, and the buffet with the living space. The overhangs were carefully considered for strength.
